Airport Impacted Community Listening Sessions

About this Event

Community members who live, work, study, worship, or spend time in Renton, Auburn, or neighborhoods near King County International Airport/Boeing Field are invited to participate in a one-hour listening session focused on airport impacts.

These listening sessions are an opportunity for residents, workers, small businesses, parents, youth, elders, and community members to share their experiences, concerns, and recommendations related to airport operations, including noise, air quality, traffic, health, safety, community engagement, and other neighborhood impacts.

Each listening session will be limited to 12 confirmed participants per airport to allow for meaningful conversation and participation from everyone.

Participating airports:

• Renton Municipal Airport July 6th at 5:00 PM via Zoom
• Auburn Municipal Airport July 9th at 5:00 PM via Zoom
• King County International Airport/Boeing Field, July 30th 4:30PM in person at KCIA Airport Terminal meeting room.

Participants who are selected, confirmed, and attend the full one-hour listening session will receive a $75 honorarium in appreciation of their time and community knowledge. Virtual Sessions will be emailed as part of registration confirmation.

Important Registration Note:

• If more than 12 people register for a session, participants may be selected to help ensure a mix of community voices from people who live, work, study, worship, or spend time in airport-impacted areas.
• Those who are not selected for the first session may be placed on a waitlist and may be invited to participate in a future listening session, survey, interview, or follow-up conversation.
• Space is limited. Please register for the session connected to the airport that most impacts you or your community.

Interpreters and translated materials can be provided free of charge upon request. If you need interpretation or translated information to participate, please let us know when you register.

Your voice and lived experience are important in helping identify community priorities, concerns, and possible solutions for airport-impacted neighborhoods.
