Aikido Summer Gasshuku with Joe Thambu Shuseki Shihan – Nottingham 🥋We are delighted to invite aikidoka from all dojos and organisations to join us in Nottingham for our Summer Gasshuku, featuring one of the most respected Aikido instructors in the world — Joe Thambu Shuseki Shihan, Chief Instructor of Aikido Shudokan International.
Joe Thambu Shihan has dedicated over five decades to teaching Yoshinkan style Aikido and developing and spreading Aikido worldwide. Known for his powerful, precise technique and dynamic teaching style, he has inspired thousands of students across the globe. Opportunities to train extensively under his instruction are rare, and we are honoured to host him for a full week of training here in Nottingham.
This gasshuku offers multiple sessions for juniors and adults throughout the week, giving everyone the chance to experience high-level instruction, refine their technique, and train alongside aikidoka from different clubs and backgrounds.
Whether you can join us for a single day, the weekend, or the full week, we would love to welcome you to the mat.

With up to 12 hours of instruction from one of the world’s leading Aikido teachers, this represents exceptional value — less than £15 per hour to train with a Shihan of this calibre.
