About this Event

Location: University of St. Thomas – Minneapolis Campus

Classroom: MOH 201

HOSTED BY

Innovate MN | Applied AI | Schulze Institute for Corporate Innovation at University of St. Thomas

EVENT DESCRIPTION

A hands-on, practitioner-led day for business professionals ready to move beyond AI curiosity and into real application.

This event is designed for professionals who have already built a foundation in AI — including alumni of Opus College of Business programs and Executive Education AI courses — and are ready to put it to work. Through peer demos, guided problem-framing, and open build time, you’ll work on an actual challenge from your own work and leave with a prototype, a plan, or a process you built yourself.

Hosted in partnership by Innovate MN, Applied AI, and the Schulze Institute for Corporate Innovation, this event brings together entrepreneurial thinking, applied AI expertise, and practical innovation support to help Minnesota professionals put AI to work in meaningful, business-relevant ways.

This is a pilot event — and we’re keeping the price intentionally low.

We’re building something new together, and your participation, feedback, and energy are what will shape what comes next. We’re grateful to have you in the room for the first one.

No lectures. No theory. Just doing.

WANT TO PRESENT?

WHAT TO EXPECT

Morning: Inspire + Frame (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

“Show Your Work” demo rounds featuring 8–10 short presentations from people who have already built something with AI in a real business context — across a wide range of industries and complexity levels. Followed by a facilitated debrief and a guided “Define Your Challenge” working session to help you identify a real problem from your own work.

Lunch + Connect (12:00 – 1:00 PM)

Catered lunch and organic networking. Resources from Applied AI, Innovate MN, and the Schulze Institute available.

Afternoon: Build + Explore (1:00 – 3:30 PM)

Laptops open. Facilitators circulating. This is your time to prototype, map a process, draft a prompt workflow, or get your first real output — with expert support available throughout.

Closing: Share Out + Networking (3:30 – 4:30 PM)

Open share-out of what you built or discovered. No pressure to present — sharing is celebrated, not required. Closing remarks from all three organizations, followed by informal networking.
