On July 18th, hundreds of cities around the United States are gathering to protest the recent incursion of data centers and Big Tech on their communities, their waters, their lands, and their livelihoods.
Here in Michigan, hyperscale AI data centers are draining our Great Lakes water (amidst a water-quality crisis), devouring our energy grid (amidst a climate crisis), and cutting backroom deals with zero accountability. Enough is enough.
Join us at Rotary Square on July 18th to join in bipartisan solidarity against data centers and Big Tech (including Palantir and Flock).
When: July 18th, 11-12pm EST
Where: Rotary Square, 203 S Union St, Traverse City, MI 49684
Why: We are protesting to call on local, state, and federal politicians to:
(1) Protect our hometowns, our wallets, and our way of life.
(2) End the corporate welfare, sweetheart deals, and taxpayer bailouts.
(3) Take federal action to ensure no AI that threatens our security and liberty is built.

This is about so much more than merely the emerging threat that AI poses to our society. It's about securing our joint futures and asking legislators to act in our interest—not greedy corporate interests.
