Join us at Staunton Books & Tea this January for a thought-provoking panel discussion on the impact of AI on humanity. Featuring voices from diverse perspectives, the conversation will delve into personal experiences with AI—both positive and challenging—and explore its broader implications for society.
From its role in transforming industries and sparking creativity to the ethical and existential questions it raises, this dialogue will shed light on the opportunities and challenges AI presents as it reshapes our world. Panelists will discuss what it means to be human in an AI-driven future and offer insights into how we can navigate this rapidly evolving landscape.
Dr. Adam Fajardo is an English professor at Mary Baldwin University, where he teaches a variety of writing and literature courses. With AI's growing impact on writing, Dr. Fajardo reflects on how AI is reshaping both writing and teaching through his experimental blog, Ship of Theses.
Thomas Wagner is an Emmy Award-winning producer, writer, and composer. Since relocating to Staunton, he has become a key figure in the local music and cultural scene, contributing to the leadership of the Arcadia Project and Caravanserai Music.
Andrew Davis is a Staunton-based contemporary artist celebrated for his dynamic and vividly colorful paintings.
Julia Sabin is an educational consultant who specializes in integrating technology, including AI, to support teaching, learning, and business processes. She is also the owner of Staunton Books & Tea.
The event includes a panel discussion and audience Q&A, offering a chance to engage directly with these critical topics. Refreshments will be provided.
