Join Sara and Jan for one or a series of events that delve into the social ethics of your yoga practice; (the Yamas,) and how we can take the learnings and opportunities from a greater understanding off the mat and into our day to day lives.
It is our choices and our actions that define us… this work will start to lead you down the path to a deeper considered understanding of your personality and how we can shape our future by living more authentically.
Each session will (of course) include Asana, Pranayama and Meditation all informed by the subject of the event, as well as opportunities for group discussion and personal enquiry.
In closing out the year we will look at how by turning inward for review, we can further peel back the layers of our personality & behavioural traits & learn how to re-focus, re-prioritise to cultivate a happier, healthier life.
30th March - Ahimsa
1st June - Asteya & Satya
22nd September - Brahmacharya
28th December - Aparigraha
About Jan :
Once you find and embrace a continued Yoga practice, you slowly realise just how much it will become a gift that “keeps on giving”.
Over 25 years, my practice has evolved and I am changed because of it. I still love how Yoga makes me feel! Yoga is my emotional and physical anchor, continually strengthening my body and mind, ultimately helping me to find a truer sense of myself. Even today, I’m still loving that there are new to things to learn. I see teaching as a further opportunity to share and work in partnership with students to help them to find joy in their own practice.
Janet’s teaching is influenced by her historical love of Iyengar and Dynamic Vinyasa, and more recently Yin, Gentle and Restorative Yoga.
About Sara :
As a teacher of both yoga and special education, one of Sara’s gift is her adaptable and insightful approach to those who join her for a lesson.
Sara believes that through both physical and meditative practices, Yoga connects us back into our mind, breath and body and quite simply, helps us to feel good.
Sara has been a special education teacher for the past 20 years and practiced yoga for the past 14 years, developing her understanding through the exploration of her practice and its ability to change our physical and energetic state.
Sara has two children who inspire and teach in their own way and a love of singing and how it may be used to open and expand our experience.
