Agriculture in Transition is a collaborative summit designed to tackle New Brunswick’s most pressing agricultural challenges while supporting interdisciplinary connections.
This foundational event aims to bring together farmers, producers, Indigenous leaders , industry, community partners, policymakers, and researchers to build partnerships and identify actionable solutions to advance the province’s agri-food sector.
Through facilitated discussions, engaging presentations, and panels, participants will explore the interconnected dimensions of agriculture, including:
- Food Security & Food Systems Resilience
- Precision Agriculture & Technology
- Socioeconomic Transformation in Agriculture
Why now?
New Brunswick faces critical agricultural challenges, including:
- A food insecurity rate of 22.7%—the second highest in Canada.
- A lag in academic research and innovation compared to neighbouring provinces.
