About this Event
Ageing and Oncology: Smarter Cancer Care for Older Adults
As cancer care meets an aging population, the need for smarter, more personalised approaches has never been greater. This hybrid event brings together leading voices in the care of older patients with cancer, to explore the latest evidence-based strategies for managing older cancer patients. You will learn how services can be developed in this rapidly expanding field. Join us for a focused day of learning and discussion, to gain practical insights into navigating the complexities of frailty ,to improve outcomes for older adults with cancer.
Intended audience:
We welcome all professionals dedicated to improving the lives of older adults with cancer, including:
· Clinicians including Doctors, nurses, pharmacists, and Allied Health Professionals (AHPs) and students
· Academics and researchers working in senior adult oncology or frailty.

Comprehensive Geriatric Assessment

Nutrition
Shared decision making for cancer treatments
Service development
Research Submission
Submissions are now open for research presentations. We welcome abstracts on frailty in oncology, including research projects, innovations, or clinical case studies.

Venue Information
The Christie Education Centre is located on the 2nd floor in Dept 17 of the main hospital and can be accessed by stairs or lift. Toilets are also on this floor including an accessible toilet. The auditorium has a hearing loop available and ramp access. A prayer room is available and close by. We want everyone attending our event in person to have the best possible experience.
