About this Event
Step into the vibrant world of African dance and drumming with Sarah, a passionate instructor who hosts classes in the enchanting Bamboo Room at Foxhollow Farm. This lively and engaging class is designed for children and their parents, offering a unique opportunity for families to bond through the rhythms and movements of African culture.
About the Instructor: I fell in love with drumming and dancing back in middle school. Due to it being refreshing and exciting to me. The rhythms and sounds that are created with all the instruments and body movements have been something that inspire and moved me. These two things generate Interest in learning more about African culture and promotes historical connections between various groups and African continent to form a circle of continuity with respect of the exchange of cultural values and practices that are hidden meaning behind every drums and dances.
This event is two hours, the first hour will be for dance and drum class and the second hour will be fun community time with drums, dancing, and samosas from SaSa's Samosas.
Please note that children must be accompanied by an adult for this class. This requirement ensures a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants, as parents or guardians play an important role in guiding and supporting their children throughout the class.
