In this session the exhibition curator Cassandra Hard Lawrie will be joined by the MAPBM member exhibition artists who will talk about their works in the show in the context of the exhibition themes.
Live Performance Light & Mirrors by Katya Petetskaya - 3:00pm Saturday 6 September 2025
Immediately after the Curator/Artist Talk, MAPBM member artist Katya Petetskaya will present 'Light & Mirrors'.
'A site-responsive performance by Katya Petetskaya at the historic Wentworth Falls School of Arts. Through shifting mirror reflections of the building, its surroundings, the audience and the performer, the work explores layered and fragmented histories of the site. Drawing on the phrase “smoke and mirrors,” the performance reclaims the mirror as a tool of clarity, inviting multiplicity, transformation - both literal and metaphorical - on history, how we engage with it and make sense of it.'
