Bunbury Roadshow
Attend in person or join from home
The Bunbury Roadshow is a hybrid event. You can attend in person in Bunbury or join us online via livestream from home. This means you can take part in the workshops, ask questions, and learn in a way that works best for you.
You are welcome to attend one session, a few sessions, or the whole day.
Workshop One -Understanding NDIS access
Facilitated by Advocacy WA Advocate Joan
This session is for people who want to better understand how NDIS access works.
Joan will walk through what the NDIS is, who can apply, and what access looks like in practice. The session will cover common barriers people experience, how to strengthen an access request, and what to do if an application is not successful.
This workshop is designed to be practical, clear, and supportive, with time for questions from both in person and online participants.
Workshop Two-Self advocacy in action
This session is for people who want to build confidence in speaking up and advocating for themselves.
You will learn practical self advocacy skills, including communication tools, setting boundaries, and how to prepare for conversations with services, providers, or systems. The session focuses on everyday situations and real life examples.
Participants joining online will be able to take part through guided activities and discussion.
Workshop Three-Your Rights, Your Supports, Your Service
Featuring co facilitator Emma
This session is for people who want to better understand their rights and what good support should look like.
Together with Emma, we will explore rights as a person with disability and as an NDIS participant, dignity and respect in service delivery, and what quality supports look like in practice. The session draws strongly on lived experience and practical tools to support learning.
This workshop is interactive and strengths based, with content designed to be accessible for both in person and online attendees.
