Wrap up warm and join us for Adventurous Nature Play, a hands-on, family-friendly experience designed for curious and adventurous whānau who love exploring the outdoors - even in winter!
Guided by nature play experts Om and Harry, we’ll discover the magic of our local parks, connect with the environment, and learn how to care for Papatūānuku - all while embracing a little mud, fresh air, and winter magic 🌿✨
🎯 What’s on offer:
Stick games to get warmed up 🔥
Guided bush adventure - discovering edible and useful plants 🌿
Camp building with tarps & hammocks ⛺
Mud play - sculpting, creating and getting messy 🤎
Group games back at base to finish the adventure 🎉
📅 Event details:
🕘 9:00am – 1:00pm
9:00 – 9:30am | Stick games at base camp
9:30am | Guided bush adventure begins
10:30am | Camp building & hammock setup
Lunch break followed by mud play
Return to base for final games (finish around 12:30–1:00pm)
✅ Facilitated family session
Everything will be set up and ready to go for a 9:00am start. This is a guided session with plenty of room for kids and caregivers to explore, create, and play at their own pace.
👨👩👧👦 Who can join:
Perfect for families who love being outdoors, exploring, and don’t mind getting a little muddy - or a lot! 😄
Suitable for all ages and abilities, however may not be suitable for those with limited mobility. Please contact the delivery partners for more information.
💡 What to bring:
Warm, comfortable outdoor clothing 🧥
Sturdy shoes or boots 🥾
Packed lunch, snacks & water 🥪
A change of clothes (just in case - mud is part of the fun!) 🤎
A sense of adventure and curiosity ✨
