Advancements in Energy, Environmental, Development Economics and Finance

We are delighted to invite you to our upcoming conference focusing on the intersections of Energy, Environmental, Development Economics and Finance.

While energy access serves as the driving force of economic growth and societal progress, its production and consumption patterns intersect with critical environmental challenges, such as climate change, pollution, and resource depletion. Recognising and addressing these interlinkages between energy, environment, and development is essential to forging pathways toward a more resilient, equitable, and environmentally sustainable future for generations to come.

This two-day conference aims to facilitate the exchange of ongoing research and foster collaboration among academics and Ph.D. students from Scottish Universities, featuring keynote addresses alongside presentations from academics and Ph.D. students from various Scottish Universities.

We invite submissions for academic presentations. Ph.D. students in their final year of study are also encouraged to submit their job market paper for consideration.

Interested participants are requested to submit their abstracts along with the title of their presentation by 17 August 2026. Notification of acceptance will be sent by 21 August 2026.

The event is organised by the Aberdeen Centre for Research in Energy Economics and Finance of the University of Aberdeen Business School. We gratefully acknowledge the support of the Scottish Economic Society for funding this conference.
