Advanced Training highlights the Graston Technique® therapy examination and treatment approach for musculoskeletal dysfunction and mechanical pain that can be applied in all patient cases. This includes movement loss, lesion localization, and resistive testing. Preventative and corrective exercises to augment the GT therapy intervention will be discussed. In addition, we will introduce five new advanced treatment strokes.By the end of the training, you will be able to:
• Identify 3 key features of the myofascial system that would benefit from a 3-dimensional treatment approach
• Demonstrate 7 functional movement patterns into an orthopedic assessment
• Identify the indications and contraindications of Graston Technique® therapy
• Demonstrate 3 IASTM treatment interventions into a plan of care for a patient with tendinosis
• Demonstrate 3 IASTM treatment interventions into a plan of care for a patient with mobility deficit
• Design a treatment program utilizing 3 different movement patterns during an IASTM treatment for a patient with a motor control deficit
