YWCA Alaska is excited to announce that we’re now accepting applications for the 2025 Points of Light Youth Leadership Institute (PYLI)! PYLI is a dynamic 40-hour community leadership training program that empowers youth to become changemakers in their communities. Over the course of five days, participants will:
-Develop skills in self & community assessment, diversity, goal setting, team building, project planning, & decision-making.
-Engage in hands-on field exercises to apply what they’ve learned.
-Celebrate their achievements with a graduation ceremony on the final day.
This year, YWCA Alaska is honored to host PYLI in Anchorage at The Nave Spenard, with longtime Alaska PYLI facilitator Beau Bassett leading the program. After this year, YWCA Alaska will officially take over the program, continuing its impactful legacy.

Who: Students in Alaska ages 13-18.
