Have you completed Outdoor First Aid before and are now looking to increase your skills and confidence even further? Life Saving Training runs First Aid courses with a difference. Our qualifications aren’t simply box-ticking exercises – they’re hands-on events that empower you to be able to confidently handle any first aid situation. Our customers leave with real life saving skills, not just a piece of paper.
Our approved and accredited 16 hour Outdoor First Aid qualification is our most popular Outdoor First Aid course and is delivered by active Mountain Rescue team members/casualty carers (medics).
The Advanced version requires a couple of hours of pre-reading to be completed (we'll be in touch to arrange this). The course itself has a much greater emphasis on practical skills and applying knowledge through longer, perhaps more challenging scenarios. To be eligible, you need to have completed Outdoor First Aid within the last three years.
It's perfect for Outdoor Instructors and validates all National Governing Body (NGB) Awards including Mountain Leader (ML), Single Pitch Award (SPA), Walking Group Leader (WGL), Basic Expedition Leader Award (BELA), Mountain Bike Leader, Canoe/Kayak Coach etc. The course will be tailored to the individuals on the course and their specific requirements.
This course is also ideal First Aid training for Duke of Edinburgh Leaders, RAF Cadet Squadron Leaders First Aid, Scout Leader First Aid and Outdoor Teacher First Aid training.
We also train many people who enjoy being in the outdoors, run events in remote places or are part of Mountain Rescue who appreciate that this additional, outdoor specific First Aid training is invaluable for anyone who enjoys being outside.
