IMPORTANT! IN ORDER TO TAKE THIS CLASS: You must have either completed my Intermediate Book Folding class or at least be familiar with the tools of book folding, MMF, finding the center of a book, and book folding terminology.
This is the third class in a book folding series. The first class is Introduction to Book Folding, utilizing a line chart pattern and introducing basic tools, techniques, and terminology. The second class is Intermediate Book Folding which introduces measure/mark/cut/fold techniques and a variety of tips, tricks, and best practices.
In this Advanced Book Folding class, we will revisit the many different types of book folding, (e.g. line fold, mark & fold, cut & fold, cut & fold with fill, combi, inverse, 180), and will work on and complete a small but fun 180 MMF project with color fill. You’ll learn some tips and tricks for making these types of projects as easy as possible, and you’ll be able to complete the small sample project in class.
What you will get:
-- All supplies and instructions to complete a sample project in class
-- A book and pattern to create a Lions project (as pictured)
-- Fill strips for the Lions project
-- A glue stick and glue pen to get you started
-- Some GREAT tips, tricks, and tools that will help you work more quickly and efficiently
PLEASE REMEMBER TO BRING YOUR BOOK FOLDING KIT, including:
--Your elastic strap
--Your favorite sharpened detail scissors
--Your bonefolder or craft scraper
--Your wrapped ruler
--Your mechanical pencil
KITS with these supplies will be available for $9 each
This is a very cool technique, but it requires a lot of patience, as you will be folding every page FIRST, then, measuring, marking, cutting, and folding again. THEN the color inserts can be added. Bring patience, and a sense of humor! :)
