Join the GO Gurnee Walking Club at Independence Grove Forest Preserve (16400 Buckley Road, Libertyville)!
Directions/Walk Details: They have 2 primary trails. One is paved, one is gravel. Both go around the lake. Each is roughly 2.5 miles with some gently rolling hills and almost no shade. Once you enter, go to the LEFT and head all the way to the end to the parking lot. We’ll meet at Independence grove by the sand volleyball area. Note, they will check your ID at the gate. Entry is free for Lake County residents but you will need your ID to show you live in Lake County. Restrooms available. Sorry, NO PETS allowed.
