Modern quilting has taken off and here's an opportunity to learn a fun technique called improv. We are going to make some blocks using primarily off-whites, light gray. etc. which are called low-volume fabrics and add some pops of color using some colorful solids (or prints that read as solids). We are going to learn a very easy method where you sew smaller pieces of the light fabrics together and add some brights as we go along. There's no cutting with rulers, measuring or following a pattern!You will need to bring your sewing machine to the workshop although we do have a couple of machines available for loan. We will have some light fabrics and some brights available for you to use. If you have scraps, bring those too.
