Adult Kayaking Beginner Course 2026

Adult Kayaking course (for ages 18 and upwards)

Course dates are Friday 22nd May – Sunday 24th may.

The timing of the course is as follows:

• Friday 22nd 6pm – 8pm
• Saturday 23rd 10am – 4pm
• Sunday 24th 10am – 3pm

The courses will take place at the Back Avenue, Doorly Park Sligo each day. Participants are asked to come a little early and are required to bring the following items:

• Wetsuit & booties (or old runners)
• Packed lunch inc. water (on Sat & Sun)
• Suncream (if the weather is nice)
• Towel & change of clothes
• Any medicines they may require during the course of the weekend

Additionally, participants are required to meet the following conditions to take part in the courses:

• Have at least a basic ability to swim as all participants will be capsizing during the course of the training
• Be of sufficient fitness to be able to take part in light-medium physical activity over the course of the weekend

Back Up Course Date

Please note: if the weather conditions prevent us from running the course on the advertised date, the back up date for the course will be 1-2 week after the advertised course date. Participants are recommended to keep the weekends free, IF possible, just in case.

Refund Policy

Please note that refunds can only be issued up to 7 days in advance of the course start dates. No refunds can be issued if not requested on time or if someone withdraws from a course.
