Adrienne Shamszad is a singer-songwriter from the SF Bay Area who writes revolutionary anthems, prayerful power ballads, soul-stirring love songs, the blues, lullabies, and sing-alongs. Adrienne’s early influences as a guitarist and songwriter are rooted in American folk, rock, and R&B. Her perspective as a songwriter is anchored in the compositional styles of American roots and popular music, and is heavily influenced by the poetry and vocal expression of the Iranian musical traditions. As a mixed Iranian-American artist, it has taken Adrienne many years to weave these apparently disparate musical universes together within herself.
