Cambridge Food Justice Alliance's annual conference, exploring how multi-generational approaches to food could strengthen our communities.
About this Event

Food connects us at every stage of life. From early childhood through to older age, what we grow, cook, share and eat shapes our health, wellbeing, culture and sense of belonging.

This conference explores how food can act as a bridge between generations, strengthening neighbourhoods and creating healthier, more resilient communities. We will highlight the different food-related challenges and opportunities people face at different ages, and examine how these experiences intersect within families, communities and local places.

From cooking and budgeting to growing food, cultural traditions and climate-friendly choices, these everyday practices are powerful tools for building lifelong habits, confidence and connection. Addressing food issues early in life, while valuing the knowledge and experience of older generations, is key to tackling inequality, improving health outcomes and supporting long-term behaviour change.

With plenty of space for open, practical coversations, the conference will bring together community organisations, practitioners, policymakers and residents to share learning, explore practical examples and reflect on how multi-generational approaches can be embedded into neighbourhood and place-based food work.

Keep an eye on this page for updates on speakers and agenda.
