Matt Stringer is a guitarist, mandolin playing songwriter from Liversedge, West Yorkshire.
2026 marks 25 years since Matt first picked up an electric guitar and began teaching himself to play. Since then he has played in punk and metal bands, acoustic and folk duos and trios (for the last 3 years playing as one half of West Yorkshire acoustic folk duo Heslop & Stringer).
In 2026, Matt decided to use those experiences to put together his first ever solo collection of songs in the form of debut album “Full Circle”.
Matt’s songs are inspired by historical events, people and places as well as personal experiences from his time playing music.
