Aces & Paces Poker Run 5k @ Cohesion Brewing

Join us for the Aces & Paces Poker Run 5k on June 14, 2026, for a 5k-ish, fun run event that starts and ends at Cohesion Brewing in Denver. Run, walk, jog - whatever goes! Complete the course and celebrate with us and a FREE, local craft brew or NA beverage at the finish line.

Participants visit a series of locations along the course to collect a playing card at each stop. At the finish line, runners reveal their hand. The best 5-card poker hands win prizes!

Start waves available at 10:00 AM & 10:30 AM.

All participants receive:

• (1) free craft brew at the finish line from Cohesion Brewing
• Choice of a collector’s pint glass or seasonal swag item from the Brewery Running Series
• A chance to win sweet prizes, like Brewery Running Series merchandise or beer to take home
• Access to event festivities like live music, games and goodies with our partners and sponsors

Poker Run Rules & Details

Check-In

• Everyone starts with zero cards.

On Course

• The course includes 5 checkpoints
• At each checkpoint, participants draw one random playing card. Each participant must hold onto their cards for the duration of the run.
• Cards may not be swapped, redrawn, or altered.
• If a runner loses a card during the run, they cannot replace it. They will turn in their remaining cards in the best hand competition

Finish Line

• After completing the course and collecting all 5 cards, participants turn in their Poker Run card.
• Hands are evaluated by event staff.

Winners Announced

• Prizes are awarded for the top hands.

Hands are ranked using standard poker rules:

1. Royal Flush
2. Straight Flush
3. Four of a Kind
4. Full House
5. Flush
6. Straight
7. Three of a Kind
8. Two Pair
9. One Pair
10. High Card

Ties are broken by:

• Highest card values
• If still tied, the earliest completed hand wins

Additional details:

• The event will take place at Cohesion Brewing in Denver
• This is an untimed, fun run. All levels of walkers, runners, and joggers are welcome.
• This is an open course, meaning roads will NOT be closed. You are responsible for obeying all traffic laws and regulations.
• We create each route to start and end at the brewery and to show off the surrounding neighborhood. The course will be marked with arrows and volunteers to help you know where to go.
• You must bring a valid ID or driver's license. You do not need to be 21 to enjoy the event, but you must be 21 to enjoy the beer. Please drink responsibly. Registered, underage participants will receive a token for a FREE non-alcoholic beverage.
• Our events are rain or shine! If conditions become unsafe to run, we will still hang out and drink beer.
• There will not be a bag check; please plan accordingly and dress appropriately for the weather.
• Dogs and strollers are welcome on the course, with care and caution. Please remember - you are running at your own risk on city sidewalks/streets/trails, which might not be suitable for your 4-legged and /or pint-size running buddies. You will also want to check with the brewery to make sure you can abide by their dog / underage policies. Please make the best decision possible for your crew.
• Colorado Brewery Running Series merchandise, including shirts, hoodies, hats, stickers, drinkware, and seasonal items, will be available at the event.
• There is public parking available. Is public transit an option for you? Check and see if there’s an accessible route nearby.
• Please drink responsibly. We always encourage carpooling and safe, designated drivers.
