Accessible Birding at Hyatt Hidden Lakes Reserve

Registration is required to attend this event as space is limited. Please make sure ALL fields in the registration form are completed and that a confirmation email is received.

Join Golden Eagle Audubon as we explore Hyatt Hidden Lakes Reserve, a 53-acre haven for birds and animals. The reserve provides safe and scenic habitat for a variety of waterfowl and songbirds, including Great Blue Herons, Gadwall, Scaups, and American Coots. We will be covering up to two miles at a relaxed pace on smooth gravel surfaces.

This is an accessible and inclusive bird outing. All are welcome! Please use the special needs question in the registration form to let us know more about you. You are welcome to join us for all or part of the outing.

Accessibility: This event is appropriate for those with visual impairment and/or limited mobility, and is wheelchair accessible.

Birding Skill Level: All levels are welcome. Binoculars will be available if needed.

Age: Participants younger than 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and participants younger than 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the liability release.

Time: 10:00am - 12:00pm. Check-in is at 9:50am. Please arrive at check-in so we can start on time.

: We will meet at the main parking lot for Hyatt Hidden Lakes near the restrooms. (Click on "Meeting Place" to get directions from your location.)

What to Bring: Layers for Weather, sun protection, binoculars, water, and snacks as needed. No dogs please.

Restroom Availability: Vault restrooms will be available.

Inclement Weather: If there is an unhealthy AQI, steady precipitation forecast, or the trails are not suitable for ethical passage, the trip may be cancelled.

Cancellation Policy: If your plans change, please cancel your ticket on Eventbrite or contact the field trip leader listed above. Participants who miss two trips without advance notice may be suspended from registering for three months. Donations made during registration are non-refundable. Thanks for your understanding!
