Accessibility in Action: Reverse Job and Resource Fair
About this Event
AccessAbility in Action
Reverse Job Fair
Discover a new way to connect talent with opportunity.
Join EmployAbilities and the Voice of Albertans with Disabilities (VAD Society) this Disability Employment Awareness Month (DEAM) for AccessAbility in Action, an innovative Reverse Job Fair that brings together employers, job seekers, and community organizations in a welcoming, accessible environment.
Unlike a traditional job fair, job seekers are at the centre of the experience. Participants host their own tables to showcase their skills, strengths, experience, and career goals, while employers rotate throughout the event, creating meaningful conversations and authentic employment connections.
Hosted at Kingsway Mall, this unique event offers excellent accessibility, strong community visibility, and an opportunity to demonstrate inclusive employment in action. The event is expected to welcome employers, job seekers, community organizations, and members of the public as we celebrate the value of a diverse and inclusive workforce.
Industry-Focused Networking Sessions
To help create meaningful employment connections, the Reverse Job Fair is organized into three industry-specific networking sessions:
12:00 – 1:00PM | Retail & Customer Service
1:15 – 2:15PM | Trades & Technical Careers
2:30 – 3:30PM | Professional & Administrative Careers
When registering, employers and participants will be asked to select the session that best aligns with their hiring needs or career interests. More information about each session can be found below.
Community Resource Fair
Connect with resources. Discover new possibilities.
Running alongside the Reverse Job Fair, the Community Resource Fair will feature employment service providers, training organizations, community agencies, and government supports. Whether you're looking for employment services, education and training opportunities, or workplace resources, you'll have the opportunity to connect with organizations dedicated to supporting inclusive employment.
Why You Should Attend
Whether you're looking to hire talented individuals, explore new career opportunities, or connect people with valuable employment supports, AccessAbility in Action offers a fresh approach to building relationships that matter.
Together, we can challenge traditional hiring practices, celebrate ability, and create more inclusive workplaces across Alberta.
