ACADIA 2026 brings together leading architects, designers, researchers and technologists for a dynamic, in-person conference centered on the theme "Humanism Recoded: Reframing Computation and Making through Embodiment and Culture." Set in the Detroit metropolitan region, a city shaped by innovation, production and reinvention, this year's conference examines how computation can be a humanistic force capable of generating meaningful digital and physical experiences, grounded in local specificity and global responsibility.
From robotics and AI-driven design to material innovation, advanced fabrication and cultural practice, ACADIA 2026 explores how digital technologies can humanize our visions for the future and reimagine what's possible for design and the built environment.

ACADIA 2026 is hosted by the College of Architecture and Design at Lawrence Technological University (LTU). Conference and workshop programming will take place on the LTU campus in Southfield and at select Detroit-area venues. Conference schedule and location specifics forthcoming.
