About this Event
Join us on Friday 14 August 2026 for a city-wide wildlife discovery event celebrating Aberdeen’s biodiversity.
The Aberdeen City Wide BioBlitz brings together communities, families, nature enthusiasts and experts to find and record as many species as possible across the city in a single day. Whether you're an experienced naturalist or completely new to wildlife recording, everyone is welcome.
What to Expect
📍 Event Hub: The James Hutton Institute (10:00am–4:00pm)
- Meet local experts and nature organisations
- Learn how to identify and record wildlife
- Get help with species identification
- See live updates from across the city

🦋 Take Part Anywhere You can also join from your garden, local park, neighbourhood or favourite outdoor space by recording wildlife sightings throughout the day.
