This is a Unitarian Universalist Lenten Vesper Service for the Health of our Country. Attendees are welcome to bring a musical instrument to play, and/or a poem or prayer about hope, peace, equality or other similar theme to read. Political writings and statements will not be considered appropriate content for the Vigil.

The current state of our country and the prospects for its future are disturbing for many people. Channing Memorial Church will be offering a non-denominational vesper-type service during Lent where individuals who feel adrift or concerned or upset about the present situation may come to light a candle, say a personal prayer or offer a poem or piece of music to calm and heal themselves and others.
The vigil will be from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Mondays March 17 and 31 in the Sanctuary. The service will begin with a prayer by Rev. Zelazny. Participants will be invited to light a candle of concern/hope and then sit in silent prayer or reflection or listen to music or readings by other people.
