Originally from Silver Spring, Maryland, Caron honed his skills in Austin, Texas, before moving to Lafayette, Louisiana, where he played with Zydeco legend Clifton Chenier, contributing to the Grammy Award-winning album I’m Here in 1980. After relocating to the San Francisco Bay Area, Caron became the guitarist and musical director for Charles Brown from 1987 until Brown's passing in 1999. His extensive recording and performing credits include collaborations with music giants such as Bonnie Raitt, John Lee Hooker, Van Morrison, and Dr. John. Caron was the featured guitarist on the Grammy-winning John Lee Hooker album Don’t Look Back, produced by Van Morrison. Beyond his work with renowned artists, Caron has scored films, performed on prestigious stages like the Kennedy Center. He continues to teach, tour, record, and perform, most recently with Taj Mahal, bringing his soulful guitar work to audiences worldwide.
Ruth Davies – Renowned bassist Ruth Davies has been a key figure in the blues and jazz world for decades, known for her warm tone and impeccable groove. Her 10-year tenure with Charles Brown is just one highlight of a career that has seen her perform with legends such as John Lee Hooker, Etta James, and Jimmy Witherspoon. Ruth’s versatility has also led to collaborations in diverse genres, from jazz with saxophonist Charles Lloyd to rock with Van Morrison. Eamonn Flynn – Dublin-born keyboardist, singer, and songwriter Eamonn Flynn is known for his unique blend of Irish soul and American blues. After moving to San Francisco, Eamonn expanded his repertoire, recording and touring with a diverse array of artists, including Michael Franti & Spearhead, Zigaboo Modeliste, and the Black Brothers.
