About this Event
Thursday 12th September
For September's Third Place, we are joined by multidisciplinary artist Patsy for a dance and movement workshop rooted in Afro culture, designed to empower, heal, and inspire.
This session will provide an inclusive space to explore your creativity, connect with others, and release emotional tension through the power of movement. Incorporating healing movements and techniques, you'll learn to express yourself authentically and embrace your identity.
No dance experience necessary, and you are welcome to participate at your own pace, this is for enjoyment so take part in whatever way you wish to!

About Exhale.Group CIC
Exhale.group is a non-profit organisation, creating spaces for QTIPOC+ (Queer, Trans and Intersex People of Colour) to dream, explore and connect, in Glasgow and Scotland.
It is led by QTIPoC+ and all staff, volunteers and facilitators are QTIPoC+.
A Third place
The ‘third place’, is a term coined by sociologist Ray Oldenburg, it refers to a place outside of the home and work/school where you can relax and socialise with others. For example, churches, bars, libraries, parks etc. can be considered 'third spaces'.
For Queer People of Colour, third places are important as our homes and workplaces may not be places that we can show up as ourselves and feel comfortable in. The existing places that act as a 'third space' may be the same, as they are not designed for and by QBPoC.
This is where the name of the project comes from - we wanted to hold space every month for our community to connect, try new things and experience joy and relaxation in.
There will be different activities each month (decided by the community) and food provided at all events. Most of the events on the dates below will be held in Transmission Gallery except from August and November where we have a special activities planned!
