In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll learn the foundations of Brazilian samba while exploring the culture and history behind the dance. Through guided instruction, you'll develop coordination, build confidence, and experience the excitement and expression that make samba so unique.
Whether you're looking to try something new, connect with others, or immerse yourself in Brazilian culture, this workshop is designed for all levels. No dance experience is necessary. Just bring your curiosity, your energy, and a willingness to have fun.

About the teacher:
Georgette Bond is an award-winning samba dancer, instructor, and cultural arts educator based in Atlanta, Georgia. A Passista for Paraíso do Tuiuti in Rio de Janeiro, she has taught and performed throughout the United States and internationally. Georgette has also held the distinguished Carnival titles of Queen of the School and Queen of the Drums in Brazil. Through her workshops and performances, she shares the rhythm, culture, and spirit of Brazilian Carnival with communities around the world.
