A Spiritual Spa: Come to the Living Waters
WINE: Women In the New Evangelization invites women of all ages and stages to refresh their hearts at the 4th Annual Aberdeen WINE: Catholic Women's Retreat on Saturday, January 23, 2027. The theme of this year’s conference, inspired by John 4:10 and John 7:37-39 is A Spiritual Spa, and the invitation is to be renewed and refreshed in the Living Waters.
Join women from across the country for a conference filled with inspiration, faith, fellowship, and fun! You can register for Friday & Saturday or the Saturday conference only.
Friday's Gathering in the Vineyard: Once again, we are opening our Friday evening event to 100 women! This is a great opportunity to get to know the speakers and various WINE groups from around the country and be fed spiritually and physically! The evening is packed with praise & worship, fellowship & laughter, food & vino at Sacred Heart.
Beginning with Mass at 8 AM Saturday, followed by time for registration and a few snacks, the conference will officially start at 9:00 a.m. with our ever-endearing emcee, Brenda Fouts.
Keynote speakers Kitty Cleveland (speaker, musician, and creator of Sounds of Peace), Dr. Haley Riney (missionary, physical therapist, and director of mission effectiveness for Kingdom Medicine), Alyssa Bormes (Aberdeen native, author, and speaker), and Kelly Wahlquist (speaker, author, and founder of WINE) will refresh our souls with faith-filled inspirational talks.
Saturday Retreat, January 23 ~ 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
Doors open at 7:30 am on Saturday for registration and time to visit our wonderful vendors.
Special Social on Friday, January 22 ~ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
Join us for a special evening with our speakers, featuring a fabulous talk, appetizers, wine & sparkling water, laughter, and faith-filled fellowship sponsored by The Presentation Sisters.

Alyssa Bormes, originally from Aberdeen, is an educator, author, speaker, and retreat leader. She teaches at The Saint Paul Seminary Catechetical Institute in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. She writes for the WINE blog, is an editor of Called by Name, and is the author of The Catechism of Hockey. Alyssa was the inspiration and wrote the foreword for The Mother of Jesus is Wonderfully Real, a beautiful children’s book about the Blessed Mother.
Kelly Wahlquist is the founder of WINE: Women In the New Evangelization and Director of Catechetical Institute at The Saint Paul Seminary. She is the author of Created to Relate: God's Design for Peace & Joy and the creator and editor of Walk in Her Sandals, Gaze Upon Jesus, Called by Name, and Wisdom from Women in Scripture. Kelly speaks around the country and leads a women's pilgrimage called WINE & Shrine through Italy each year.
