Bootleg Trails & Powdered Tales: Celebrating a Century of Snowmobiling
Join members of SDSA as we celebrate our sport. Friday activities include meetings of the Governor's Snowmobile Advisory Council and SDSA Board of Directors followed by the annual SDSA Auction. On Saturday, the General Membership meeting and Awards Banquet will be held followed by a night of fun at the Speakeasy.
We are excited to offer an Avalanche 1 class instructed by renowned avalanche trainer, Mike Duffy, on Sautrday, December 5th from 1-4 pm. This class will be offered at NO CHARGE - simple secure your seat by clicking on the GET TICKETS button. The Avalanche Skills 2026 course provides practical skills you can apply immediately to help reduce risk and improve your safety in the backcountry. Build knowledge and confidence to make smarter decisions in avalanche terrain. This new course combines the latest rescue techniques, current avalanche technology, hands-on transceiver training, terrain analysis, navigation and safety apps, and practical skills for riding in avalanche areas. You’ll learn how to recognize avalanche hazards, make informed terrain choices, and respond effectively in an emergency. What sets this course apart is Mike's ecades of field experience and the high amount of hands-on practice. Mike Duffy is a Pro member & U.S. Course provider for the American Avalanche Association; Graduate of National Avalanche School, National Academy of Winter Guiding, AVPRO & Professional Avalanche Search & Rescue; Mountain Snowmobiler for 30 years and Member and qualified instructor Motorized Avalanche Professionals.
