As the New Year approaches, the hive enters its quietest and most reflective season. Honeybees spend the winter months gathered closely together, conserving warmth, and preparing for the return of spring.
Inspired by this season of rest and renewal, join us at The Hive for Pinecone Wishes, a cozy winter workshop where guests will create beeswax-dipped pinecone fire starters while writing down hopes and intentions for the year ahead.
Pinecones have long been symbols of renewal, and new beginnings. In this drop -in hands-on workshop, you’ll dip a natural pinecone in warm beeswax and tuck a small parchment scroll with your written hopes for the coming year inside.
As the beeswax cools and seals the pinecone, it becomes both a practical fire starter and a meaningful winter keepsake.
Your finished pinecone can be saved as a reminder of the intentions you’ve set, or burned on a winter evening to symbolically spark the start of the year ahead.
Guests may drop in anytime during their selected time slot The activity typically takes 15-25 minutes, allowing time for both swift crafters and meticulous creators.
It's a warm and thoughtful way to slow down after the holidays and inspired by the quiet wisdom of the hive and the fresh start of a New Year!
NOTE: $5 Per Spark: Each ticket grants access to the workshop and includes materials for one beeswax pinecone fire-starter. Want to add more than one spark? Let us know in advance or let our Workshop Guide know upon arrival, guests are welcome to purchase additional pinecones to create– $5 ea.
