With the longest day of the year drawing near and the official start to our summer approaching, we gather just before the solstice to celebrate; the return of light and sunshine, the colours, the simple gift of being alive, and nature in full bloom. Summer is a beautiful time of year, and a lovely place in life to pause, reflect on all we are thankful for, and celebrate who we truly are.
Nicky will take you on a gentle guided shamanic journey, much like a meditation, inwards into your heart space, to receive medicine, guidance and messages that are personal to you. In Shamanism, there is the idea that we each have guides or allies, sometimes our ancestors, who walk alongside us and are here to help.
They can show us the strength to move through the dark, to meet our obstacles, and to overcome the things that feel difficult. But really, what they offer is a reflection of all that you already carry deep inside.
A reminder that you are already whole. Already enough.
On this journey you will meet a guide who is helping you through life, perhaps one who has been with you since birth, or one who has arrived just for this season, whatever feels right for you in this moment. Guides can be thought of as light energy, here to help your own light shine, so that you remember you are a beautiful, powerful soul.
We will close our time together with a soothing crystal bowl sound bath. This is where I play the crystal bowls and let their gentle tones wash over you, wave after wave. The bowls are known for quietening the mind, easing tension, and bringing the nervous system back into balance. Think of it as a mental and emotional reset. When we settle into a truly relaxed state, the body finds it so much easier to heal.
Please feel free to bring along anything that helps you feel cosy and held; a yoga mat, a blanket, an eye mask, a pillow, even a teddy if you fancy it. There will be the option to lie down or to sit on a chair, whatever feels most comfortable for you.
About Nicky
Nicky is a shaman working with colour, art, music and sound, alongside Meditation, Mindfulness, Shamanic Healing and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy.
Her journey began in a rather different place, as a Fashion Designer. Working in that industry, alongside everything that general life brings, taught her just how much our mental, emotional, physical and spiritual wellness all matter, and how closely they are woven together. That understanding led her into studying how music and colour can support our learning and development, as well as our health and wellbeing. Shamanism, in particular, has become a beautiful tool for meeting whatever life throws our way.
Nicky loves sharing the practices and techniques that have shaped who she is today, and that have helped so many people find their own way along the path.
