About this Event
Join the Durham Open Space and Trails Commission (DOST) for a hike to see this newly-protected 27.6-acre property adjacent to West Point Park and the under-construction Eno Village apartments and townhomes. This somewhat-challenging, 1.8-mile hike starts in West Point Park, follows some forest trails, and then (alert!) up a steep, rooty path that will soon be an extension of the Warren Creek Greenway, and back onto the West Point Trails. If you're used to walking or hiking in Duke Forest or Eno River State Park, you should be able to manage this hike.
During the hike, we'll discuss the local landscape and wildlife that makes their home in this newly protected open space.
What to Bring:
Water; Comfortable Shoes; Insect Repellent; Curiosity
While we love dogs, please leave them at home for this hike.
