A Reading for Palestinian Journalists

Join the Freelance Solidarity Project at the National Writers Union for a fundraiser and reading for the Palestinian Journalists Syndicate. All proceeds will go to the International Federation of Journalists Safety Fund for journalists in Palestine, administered by PJS.
Featuring readings by Yasmin Majeed, Alex Neason, Gaby Del Valle, Niv Sekar, Sarah Thankam Mathews, Kaitlyn Greenidge. Hosted by Tanvi Misra, Rider Alsop and Roshan Abraham. Featuring raffles, with prizes include subscriptions to Lux, signed books, totebags and more.
The IFJ Safety Fund offers financial assistance in a range of emergency cases such as threats, violence and threats thereof, prosecution, settlement in exile and illness.
According to its president Nasser Abu Bakr, "The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate is a professional, non-governmental organization with a pluralistic character and an independent legal personality. It represents the comprehensive trade union framework for all Palestinian journalists inside and outside Palestine. Its main headquarters is in Jerusalem, the capital of the State of Palestine, and it has other branches in the Palestinian governorates."
PJS is a member of the International Federation of Journalists and is a sibling union to the National Writers Union.
