Join us at ARTworks Vass on Sunday, April 6th for an unforgettable, hands-on glassblowing experience with glass artist Wayne Manning. This unique one-on-one workshop (or shared with a friend) offers you the opportunity to design and create two stunning blown glass projects in Wayne’s Hot Glass Studio.
Perfect for beginners and enthusiasts alike, this workshop introduces you to the fundamentals of glassblowing, guiding you through the process of shaping molten glass into your desired forms. Wayne will demystify the techniques and principles behind this mesmerizing art form, ensuring a fun and educational experience.
What You’ll Create:
One small piece – Choose from an Ornament, Flower, or Egg or Heart Paperweight
One larger piece – Craft a Bunny, Tumbler, Pint Glass, or Vase
(The combination of a Bunny and an Egg as pictured is only available in this class.)Workshop Details:

About Your Instructor:
Wayne is a Glass Artist who lives in Vass, NC and teaches Art at Union Pines High School. His passion is glass blowing and we are thrilled that he is sharing his passion in ARTworks Vass classes. What You Should Know to Make Glass with Us:
Beginners are welcome.
Space will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis, and we expect to sell out.
Register early to save your seats in class.
Registration allows for one Guest per class project.
Registration is non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
Guests age 14 and older are welcome to participate, and we ask that they be accompanied by a parent.
If your child is younger than 14, and if they absolutely positively must make glass with us, please text Jean with the specifics of your situation at 910-528-1109, and we'll do our best to make special accommodations for you.
All who are making glass must dress in cotton or clothing made of other natural fibers, and they should wear long sleeves, long pants, and closed toe shoes.
Plan to check-in at the Gallery register at least 15 minutes before your scheduled start time. If you arrive late, your experience will be shorter than the time allotted.
All supplies are included.
Blown Glass projects made during this workshop must be slow cooled (annealed) to strengthen them, and will be ready for pickup a few days after class. We are happy to arrange shipping at an additional cost.
