About this Event
The dominant culture tells us that pushing through when times are hard, searching for a silver lining when facing physical adversity, and forcing optimism when stress is acute or chronic is the way to successfully manage the inevitable challenges life hands us.
But there’s an easier, and gentler, way.
That’s why we’re offering “A Path to Steadiness,” an introduction to a slow and peaceful mind-body practice that will help you release tension, enhance your mobility, quiet your thoughts and connect with your body. Without forcing in any way.
Led by Feldenkrais Method® expert Jeff Haller, with support from experienced local Feldenkrais teachers, this 3-part event is designed to nurture an inner steadiness that will help you meet challenges with resilience, clarity, kindness, patience and deeper understanding.
Part 1 - Group lesson
Soothe and regulate your nervous system with Jeff Haller, master Feldenkrais teacher
Guiding you through a series of meditative movements, Jeff will introduce you to the Feldenkrais Method, a mind-and-body–based practice that quickly and reliably resets your nervous system – so you can bring deep composure and inner stability to even your most challenging times.
Part 2 - Listening, sharing, asking, answering
Uncover greater insight through shared reflections, observations, questions and answers
The Feldenkrais Method acknowledges the importance of setting aside time for listening to and talking about experiences – and for giving natural curiosity a welcoming space. Learning becomes richer, and mind-body connections become more deeply integrated – leaving you feeling understood, grounded and supported.
Part 3 – One-to-one hands-on lesson
Deepen and expand your event experience with local Feldenkrais teachers
Through a series of slow movements guided by gentle touch and verbal direction, your personal half-hour session with an experienced local Feldenkrais teacher will strengthen the self-knowledge and mind-body connections that soften, calm and steady.
