Join the Friends of the Moorhead Library for an unforgettable evening of storytelling, local flavors and community at our second annual A Novel Evening fundraiser at Rustica.
Celebrate the power of libraries and literacy with PEN award-winning author Will Weaver, in an intimate evening of conversation and inspiration featuring his talk on libraries as the beating heart of democracy. Attendees will enjoy a small silent auction of local flavors and talents, featuring a curated dining experience with celebrated local chef Andrea Baumgardner.
The fundraiser will be held from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2026, at Rustica Eatery and Tavern. Hearty appetizers, desserts and one drink are included with each ticket, all crafted and served in the warm atmosphere of Rustica. Limited tickets are available at $125/ticket and can be purchased at friendsofthemoorheadlibrary.org.

This fundraising event will support programs and services at the new Moorhead Public Library, which opened this spring at The Loop in downtown Moorhead. The Moorhead Public Library at The Loop houses the library’s collection, resources and services, alongside amenities including an indoor walking track, playground, and resource center for entrepreneurs called the Spark Center.
