Cocktail Class - Sesquibicentennial cocktails
About this Event
It’s America’s 250th Birthday! What better way to celebrate than with some classic American cocktails! The cocktail itself is an American invention, first referenced in print in the early 1800s, though probably dating back at least a little time before this. While Europe had its share of punches, possets, flips, and syllabubs, it was truly America that invented the cocktail, and pioneered its most important ingredient - ice!
In this class, Evan Christie will take you through 250 years of American mixology. From the early beverages enjoyed shortly after the nation’s founding to the latest and greatest in stateside cocktail mixing. Expect to taste and learn about a wide variety of beverages and celebrate one of America’s most important cultural exports.
