Will Maclean author of Solace House, Clare Cavenagh author of Tillinghast and Imogen Crimp author of Give Me Everything You've Got will be discussing their new novels and the ways in which suspense is used to create gothic and claustraphobic novels.
Solace House is described as The Secret History meets The Haunting Of Hill House, as well as "uncategorisable", setting the "gold standard for contemporary speculative fiction" and a "sprawling, mind-bending, immersive mansion of a novel".
Tillinghast has been described as "delisously unsettling", "moody and expertly rendered" as it takes on the themes of gothic houses and what it is to be a monster.
Give Me Everything You’ve Got is the incendiary new novel from Imogen Crimp: a fearless, sultry and deliciously dark exploration of art, power and sex that grips to the final page.
Copies of the books will be available to buy on the night, and the authors will be signing the books after the talk.
