Event Description:
In Meryl’s Children, the author chooses a contemporary American family to construct her literary universe. As the plot progresses, we witness a story in which man’s struggle to rise in an increasingly competitive society persists—where the empowered classes will do anything to maintain their social status. There is a patriarch who demands one of his children follow a path full of obstacles, where the codes to follow are those of violence, while the others, from seemingly less aggressive professions like medicine, also must put their careers in service of the family.Like peeling layers from an onion, you will uncover a well-kept secret that not even the protagonists know, without ever guessing what lies behind the enigmatic behavior of a mother who, despite everything, will do whatever it takes to save her family from disaster.
