The LSO and Loudoun's other leading arts organizations, the Master Singers of Virginia and Loudoun Lyric Opera are collaborating to celebrate the LSO's 35th anniversary and will perform Beethoven's glorious masterwork, Symphony No. 9.

The Ninth is regarded by many as a masterpiece of Western classical music and was the first example of a major composer scoring vocal parts for a symphony. While it is one of the most frequently performed symphonies in the world, this will be the first time since the 1990's that it will be presented in Loudoun County.

Seating - Doors open at 7:00 PM. The concert is approximately 80 minutes and will be performed without intermission. Seating is "general admission."

  • Ludwig Van Beethoven: Symphony No. 9 "Choral"

Soloists:

Amy Broadbent, Soprano - A multi-faced artist, Amy has performed as a soloist with several organizations including the Washington Bach Consort, The Thirteen and the New York Choral Society. She is a founding member of vocal quartet, The Polyphonists and is assistant conductor of the U. S. Navy Sea Chanters, the official chorus of the U. S. Navy.

Amanda Zoe Vest, Mezzo - Amanda's sound has been hailed as "nuanced, rich, and creamy" and is a well-regarded recitalist, who recently performed on WQXR's Young Artist Showcase and in recitals presented by the Washington Metropolitan Philharmonic Association.

Daniel T. Curran, Tenor - An award-winning performer, Daniel has gained a reputation for performances in opera and concert stages throughout the United States and internationally. He currently performs with the United States Navy Band's premier vocal ensemble, the Navy Band Sea Chanters.

Scott Hetz Clark, Baritone - Scott has captivated audiences around the work with his versatile vocal talent and showmanship. Scott's most recent engagements include his Maryland Opera debut in Madama Butterfly and his return to Rose Theater at Lincoln Center, where he covered the role of Don Giovanni with Teatro Nuovo.
