Dynamics of music ministry
Monday, July 6 to Thursday, July 9
Church music leaders experience times when the joyful calling to ministry shines through, and other times when the call of duty is anything but joyful.
Our SICM 2026 sessions will address times of stress as well as the many joys found in moments of beauty and spiritual growth, offering helpful insights, practical tools, and ways to embrace all aspects of the ministry of music.

Monday and Tuesday - Community Chorale rehearsals 7:00pm-10:00pm
Tuesday through Thursday - Daytime sessions 11:30am-4:30pm
Wednesday and Thursday - Dress Rehearsal and Gala Closing Choral and Organ Concert 6:30pm call both nights at St George’s Church, 51 Centre Street S, Oshawa

Wednesday and Thursday - the Community Chorale Dress Rehearsal and Gala Closing Choral and Organ Concert from St George’s Church, 51 Centre Street S, Oshawa will be provided to all Full Registrants (IN-PERSON and ONLINE) as an edited video shortly after the events take place.

NOTE 1: All sessions will be recorded for later online viewing by FULL IN-PERSON and ONLINE Registrants
NOTE 2: Full ONLINE registrants will access the SICM Community Chorale’s Dress rehearsal on Wednesday July 8 and Thursday July 9 as an edited video shortly after the events take place.
NOTE 3: On Thursday July 9 ALL registrants, and the general public, are welcome at both The Osborne Organ Competition Final, 2:30pm at All Saints’ Whitby and the Gala Closing Choral and Organ Concert, 8:00pm at St George’s Oshawa – or to view recordings on the SICM YouTube Channel, youtube.com/@summerinstituteofchurchmus4240.

SICM Refund Policy
A refund of 80% will be granted up to three weeks before the start of the Institutes summer session (June 15, 2026).
After June 15, a refund of 50% will be considered on a case by case basis.
