A 2-in-1 Historical Outing
*Free to Attend / Open to the Public
6:15 pm - Tour of Calvary Cemetery
7:15 pm - Presentation on additional area cemeteries @ Dugout 54 + plus social (food & beverage available)
👉 Join us for this unique evening of Milwaukee history. We start with a guided tour of Calvary Cemetery, led by club member Wayne L. We then cross the street to Dugout 54 where Wayne will do a slideshow overview of several other Milwaukee area cemeteries.
**We will meet at the main gate of Calvary Cemetery - 5503 West Blue Mound Road.
👟 The tour: We will cover approximately 10 sites of noted Milwaukeeans, including Solomon Juneau, Patrick Cudahy, and Frederick Miller. The grounds have gentle sloping hillsides. Please wear comfy walking shoes. We will walk at a leisurely pace in between stops. About 60 minutes in total.
**About Wayne: A lifelong Milwaukeean, Wayne has visited over 300 cemeteries throughout the nation & in Europe. He has seen the gravesites of dozens of US presidents and top military generals. As you can safely assume, his knowledge base is vast.
**About Calvary Cemetery: Established in 1857, it is the oldest cemetery in the Milwaukee Archdiocese. It covers 65 acres with 70,000+ interments.
🍔 About Dugout 54: An outstanding neighborhood craft beer (32 taps) & sports pub with a top-notch food menu. It also serves as a prime pre & post-game spot with shuttle service to the stadium. https://dugout54.com/
