The course is designed specifically for dental hygienists & dental therapists who would like to expand their knowledge and develop their skills in dental photography. The course is both theory and hands-on, in line with GDC Scope of Practice and Enhanced CPD
Delegates have the opportunity to practice, taking various dental images, whilst the theory covers, how the camera works, camera settings, images, patient management, consent and storing images. Delegates are encouraged if possible to bring along the camera they will be using with patients, so they can practice and feel confident when using the camera.
Tim Ives-Breathing Physiology & Breathing Practical
Learn how to maximise your breathing potential, understand the oral and systemic benefits of healthy breathing
Do you or any of your family or patients:
Snore?
Have asthma?
Suffer from rhinitis?
Suffer from daytime sleepiness?
If the answer to any of these questions is yes, then it is almost certainly a breathing-related issue.Healthcare practitioners rarely connect the dots between breathing and facial and airway development. You will learn how to connect those dots. Our jaw is 90% developed by the age of 12, so it is crucial to recognize any breathing-related disorders as early as possible.
Tim's aim is for you to learn how to maximize your breathing potential, understand the oral and systemic benefits of healthy breathing, and prevent viral infections through breathing effectively. He will explain how breathing affects facial development and simple changes that can be made to convert children to healthy breathing. In addition to giving you all of the science, he will explain how you can create a baseline measurement of your breathing health and then explain how you can create your own bespoke breathing exercise plan to set you on your way to maximise your breathing potential.
Once you have established healthy breathing and understand how to measure your success, Tim will give you a simple guide on how to check your patients' breathing and simple changes that can be made in-house.
