Dance Fitness classes

Join us at Penair School, Truro,  for an energetic and fun-filled workout.

Suitable for all ages, abilities, and fitness levels with a very engaging, fun and inclusive approach. So whether you're a seasoned dancer or a beginner looking to get in shape, these classes are perfect for everyone. So put on your dancing shoes and come join us for a fantastic time!

Tuesdays 6:00- 7:00pm.

Programme Outline:These dance fitness classes combine the basic aerobic style movements and dance styles the HMS Shipshape way, designed to help improve your cardio and all over body toning fitness but most importantly your emotional wellbeing and social connections!

Cost:: Everyone is welcome to join in this pay-what-you-can programme. We recommend a payment of £35 for all 7 sessions or £6 per session, but we acknowledge that this may not be feasible for everyone. We kindly ask you to be honest and contribute what you can afford, allowing us to maintain our pay-what-you-can model. Your support enables us to sustain our workshops and work.Places are non-refundable but transferable. If you can't make it, share this transformative experience with someone else!

About Heidi Haden:

Exercise has been most of my life journey so far. Inadvertently introduced to it at the tender age of 5 to help alleviate some of my high energies, I went onto participate in competitive gymnastics for 10 years and then from my teens through to now I have been involved in all kinds of sporting activities and both indoor/outdoor pursuits. 2015 I launched my business HMS Shipshape delivering dance fitness classes in the heart of the local communities of Praze an Beeble, near Camborne and Truro over the past 8 years.

From that introduction most people would assume that I am a fit, healthy, happy, motivated role model in the health and wellbeing community, but in truth I am a genuine, down to earth person in their mid-forties who has experienced life’s challenges and lost themselves in exercise for both negative and positive reasons.

I want to share my experiences of how exercise has been linked to my emotional wellbeing over the years and strategies that I have developed for overcoming this in the hope of helping others and enabling them to experience the benefits of being part of a community and how the social, fun aspects of dance fitness (the HMS Shipshape way) can help support your emotional wellbeing.

So please join me on this journey: ‘Exercise and Emotional Wellbeing’ over a 7-week course as we begin a fresh new year in 2024. Remember together we can achieve so much more and through connections you will hopefully feel that you are not alone and that most of us are going through similar experiences through a variety of lenses.
