The Richmond Area Arts Council will be host an event on Nov. 22 entitled "A Celebration of Japanese Arts." The program will feature performances by The Columbus Koto Ensemble and The Berea College Taiko Ensemble as well as a large calligraphy performance by representatives from the Knox Asian Festival. A hibachi dinner will be provided by Koto Japanese Bistro. The event will be held at the Richmond Area Arts Center located at 399 W. Water St. and an artist reception featuring the Japanese-inspired works of Gentry Deck will take place prior to the performance from 5:30-6:30 p.m. Please reserve your seats as no tickets will be available at the door. Tickets are $40 and can be purchased at www.artsinrichmond.org under "events" or by calling 859-624-4242. RAAC members will receive a 10% discount. The event is sponsored by Koto Japanese Bistro, Custom Photo, Dominion Senior Living, Home 2 Suites, Central Bank, and Meijer.
